Amy served as a Community and Economic Development volunteer in Timor-Leste (East Timor) from 2015-2017. During this time, she worked with a women’s group in a rural mountain village to strengthen their business practices and financial literacy. Along with this work, Amy spent much of her time with the kids in her community, usually playing soccer, doing cartwheels, or practicing their English.
Amy completed her service as part of the Masters International program while pursuing her Masters degree in Community Planning. Since returning home, Amy now works as a transportation planner for the City of Minneapolis and is passionate about creating a more livable, accessible, and connected cities
