Treasurer
Wendy Assal |
Wendy Assal served as an English Teacher Trainer from 2001-2003 in Chervonohrad, Ukraine which is roughly 80 kilometers from the Polish border. Wendy realized that education, social justice, and international collaboration were just a few of her passions that would help her in the future years. Wendy currently works as the Admissions Director for Clinical Psychology at the Minnesota School of Professional Psychology at Argosy University. Recently, she has been become the Treasurer to the Minnesota International Educators organization and attends meetings/trainings to get a better sense of working with international students.
Wendy joined the MNRPCV board as Treasurer in April 2013. As Treasurer, she is responsible for tracking finances. Wendy wanted to get back to being a part of an organization (Peace Corps) that understands the passions she has held close to her heart, but also, she needed to reconnect to the community around her. She met her husband in Budapest, Hungary. He knew about Peace Corps because his family hosted volunteers in Morocco. Both Wendy, her husband, and son attend Peace Corps functions because it gives them the chance to learn about others and expose their son to avenues of peace, love and understanding. |
